There are a many sites that offer free link popularity checks for your URL. Why is it so important to have sites that link into you? Google and other search engines appear to be placing more value on links that are coming into a site, than they used too. It used to be that optimizing keywords and enhancing your meta tags would help. While the keywords and their placement is still critical I have seen articles that meta tags may not hold that much weight. Remember though that you want to be linked too quality sites, so if you are linking to sites that have been blacklisted by Google and other search engines, you will only hurt your chances of getting ranked higher in search engines for your keywords and topics.

An example of commissions earned would be: Referred Advertiser makes 2 deposits with BannerBoxes, one for $200 and one for $500. You would receive $70 in commissions for referring this Advertiser.

Revenue split is 75/25 in your favor. There are two distinct things you can do with AdBrite — buy ad space and/or sell ad space.

Advertisers can choose relevant sites on which to advertise on a PPC basis.

Publishers can sell ad space, and approve or reject every ad that’s purchased for your site. Place a “Your Ad Here” link on your site to sell the space.

When we first started our blog we were hoping to generate a loyal following and provide current and interesting content to our readers. I was reading an article today that was discussing a new model for advertising called the Cost Per Action. What this means is that advertisers would not pay on a Cost Per Click (CPC) basis as is the norm today, but rather pay services such as Google and Yahoo, only on clicks to their sites that actually result in a lead or sale. The one main glitch here is that those Advertisers will have to disclose some of the sales info to verify the sign up or sale.We have used the Adsense model for a year now, and the CPC, while it does work, does have room for Click fraud, which appears to be growing. With CPA, you actually are paying for customers requsting more information or an actual sale. I found it interesting that in this article, they seemed to think this was a new way of doing business, which is not the case.We offer some CPA advertisers on some of our sites. The main vendors we deal with are QCLix and Azoogle. Their payouts for some CPA offers are as high as $50. That sure beats the .50 to $1 you may receive via ads that run on your sites. We believe there will be a great synergy between the two forms of advertising, and have found that they can co-exist on the same site. We look to follow this closely, as to help monetize the traffic that we are currently seeing on our main web pages.

The Fall weather is just around the corner and up in the Northwest the nights are starting to get a little cooler. I love this time of year when it is nice during the day and then at night it gets cool enough to fire up the fireplace.
