The mighty mountaineers of Appalachian State have shocked the college football world by upsetting number 5 ranked Michigan. What most people do not know is that ASU is a pre-season number one in the Division 1-AA and is the two time defending champion in college Division 1-AA. This was a interesting choice for the Wolverines as they did take a non-conference opponent, but chose to go after the best. Other top ranked teams also struggled against the opening day teams so this may prove to be a unique year in NCAA football. The alumni at Michigan are probably huddling up somewhere trying to figure out to get rid of coach LLoyd Carr. Most schools do not like to be on the loosing of a mark that will live for a long time especially a football powerhouse like Michigan. I can only guess that Michigan will be more than prepared for next weeks opponent and have no mercy.
